Din Syamsudin: I've Made Resistance!
JAKARTA (Panjimas.com) - Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Prof. Dr. Din Syamsudin delivered a response, related to his statement some time ago that he will lead the resistance if Ahok is free.
According to Din, what he has said so far has been done. He has met many figures, including President Joko Widodo, to convey the aspirations and demands of Muslims.
Nevertheless, Din Syamsudin also asserted that if the effort is needed more broadly, he is ready to continue to fight.
"So what I say I have done and if need be wider then yes can be done," said Din Syamsudin in Central MUI Building, Jalan Proklamasi, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (04/26/2017).
To note, the public questioned the statement of Din Syamsudin some time ago who promised to lead the resistance if Ahok free. It was raised when some time ago, the Public Prosecutor (Prosecutor) filed a lawsuit against the defendant Ahok with a sentence of 1 year in prison with a trial period of 2 years. These demands are considered very low and tend to want to free the defendant. [AW]
